Tattoo Aftercare

1- After 3 hours remove the bandage gently
and wash with warm water and mild soap.
Don't re-bandage.

2-Apply a 'thin layer' of A&D Ointment,
Bacitracin, Aquaphor, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil,
or Tattoo Goo 4 times a day for the next 7 days.
After 7 days use a mild 'healthy healing style'
lotion for the next 7-10 days or until the skin
returns to its pre-tattooed condition. For the first 7 days, don't let the tattoo dry out by keeping it constantly moisturized with ointment. (*We emphasize 'thin layer' of ointment because thick layers of ointment are detrimental to the healing process, and can pull the ink out... again, it's important to apply the ointment with a 'thin layer'.)

3-Avoid the sun and tanning booths for 2 weeks.

4-Don't soak the tattoo for 2 weeks. Avoid the
bathtub, jacuzzi, swimming pool, and ocean.
Showering as normal and cleaning over the sink
with brief moments of water running over the
tattoo is what you want to do. Use mild soaps
and antibacterial soaps.

5-Avoid products with heavy fragrances.
Fragrances contain alcohol and chemicals that
will damage the tattoo. If the tattoo burns when
ointment is applied, wash it off immediately,
discontinue use of that product, and use one of
the previously mentioned ointments.

6-Don't rub, scratch, or pick at the tattoo while it
is healing. Loss of color and/or infection may
occur. Be gentle with the tattoo and let it
naturally shed the top layer of skin. Don't assist
in the peeling. You will see some color come off
with the top layer of skin as it sheds. This is
normal. The tattoo is permanently implanted in
the deeper layers of the skin.

7-Extreme and repeated sun exposure will
damage the pigments of the tattoo and cause it
to fade over your lifetime. To avoid this apply
25 SPF sunblock or greater when in the sun for
extended periods.

8-Most of the healing takes place over the first
2 weeks. The skin that has been tattooed will
return to looking like the surrounding skin after
4 weeks.

CLEAN, MOISTURIZED, & GENTLE CARE

*Some exercising after getting a tattoo is ok. Avoid lifting weights and over-exerting the area that was tattooed for 7 days... eg. if you have just gotten an arm tattoo, excersize your legs. Cardio is ok from day 1. Make sure to clean the tattooed area after sweating in order to remove bacterial build-up from sweat.

EBANEL SKINCARE®

NUMB 520 TOPICAL ANESTHETIC CREAM

Numb 520 is manufactured in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility. By encapsulating lidocaine into liposome, Numb 520 is absorbed by the skin and thereby maximizes the numbing effect as an OTC drug.

Lidocaine works by temporarily blocking the pathway of pain signals along nerves. It does this by stopping the sodium from entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain.

Non-oily numbing agent.

Developed for use before the session/treatment, Numb 520's unique blend of botanicals, including aloe, help reduces skin inflammation and redness. As well as expedites the healing process, and Numb 520 is 100% safe to use on sensitive skin.

Tattoo Preparation

-Get good rest the night before.

-Eat a large meal an hour before
 coming to the shop.

-Bring ‘fuel’ food and drink: foods with carbs,
 vitamins, and sugar
(Your body needs fuel for the adrenaline it will
be pumping. And a healthy bloodsugar level keeps
you from getting lightheaded.)  Proper hydration   regulates blood pressure.

-Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to your tattoo
 appointment.

-Mental preparation, be focused on the task at   hand.
